LAS VEGAS - Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney won the Republican presidential nominating contest in Nevada on Saturday, Fox News projected.
Romney's apparent win followed his breakthrough victory in Michigan last week after a series of disappointing second-place finishes.
It gave him momentum going into the "Super Tuesday" contests on Feb. 5, when nearly half the U.S. states choose candidates to contest the presidential election in November.
