Sultan: Stop giving group media space

MUADZAM SHAH: Stop giving publicity to Hindraf, says Sultan of Pahang Sultan Ahmad Shah.

The media, he said, should stop giving space to Hindraf's activities.

Sultan Ahmad Shah said publicity on Hindraf would only draw more attention to it, and perhaps give it the impression that it had support from the public.

Concerned ruler: Sultan Ahmad Shah visiting the construction of a bailey bridge in Felda Selancar. The earlier bridge was washed away by Sungai Pukin’s strong currents.

He said Hindraf’s illegal public rally and other groups' illegal assemblies had caused damage to the country.

“To the foreigners, we are not in peace and harmony, which is not true at all,” he said.

He said that if the Indian community had been neglected, there would not have been so many high ranking professionals among them.

“We have ministers, lawyers, lecturers, academicians, doctors and other professionals who are from the Indian community.

“The Government has been fair to all citizens of this country, there is no pilih kasih

(favouritism),” he said.
